Settlement Services

Good Deeds, Inc., provides title insurance and real estate settlement services, taking care of all the legal aspects of your home purchase.  Having overseen over 25,000 real estate transactions, both commercial and residential, we have the experience necessary to deal with any situation that may arise.

Working in direct contact with our real estate agents and mortgage officers, our settlement company will review your closing documents with you prior to the settlement.   This ensures that you will be comfortable and familiar with the final figures.

Good Deeds, Inc. issues title policies through Stewart Title, Chicago Title and Lawyers Title Insurance Companies.

From the purchase agreement to financing and through closing, this vertical integration can save you substantial costs and time.

Tax Appeals

Good Deeds, Inc. does not abandon you after the closing.  Attorneys John Straka and Bob Gustine have represented hundreds of clients in the tax assessment appeal process, and are available to advise you as well.

Tax savings start when the purchase agreement is negotiated.  In Allegheny and the surrounding counties, school districts and local municipalities are very aggressive in initiating tax assessment appeals based upon recent recorded sales prices.  A poorly structured purchase agreement can result in an unfair or inaccurate tax assessment.

By structuring your purchase transaction with your future property taxes in mind, you will save thousands of dollars in future real estate taxes.
